Node.js development
How does AonHive use Node.js?
Node.js development for APIs, integrations, and event-driven services.
Node.js runs the API and the worker. A webhook, a retry, and a double tap can all deliver the same intent. The handler checks whether that write already happened before it moves money, sends a message, or changes a status.Discuss this stackHow we use it
A handler has to be safe twice.
- 01
Give the write an identity
A payment, a webhook, and a job carry a key the server has seen. The second delivery finds the line and stops. The caller still gets a success.
- 02
Keep work off the request
A slow side effect goes on a queue. The request returns when the record is saved. A dead letter keeps a failed job inspectable.
- 03
Bound the process
Timeouts sit on outbound calls. A dependency that does not answer does not hold the event loop for the rest of the traffic.
